Spotless, spacious and well-equipped home with lovely decor, easy parking and a great view. Would have preferred greater upfront clarity about the security deposit and deposit transaction fee, the former of which I’m told takes a while to return. Other than that, it was a perfect stay.
Lovely little house with gorgeous views. Just as the pictures show and has everything you need. Very calm, peaceful and relaxing. Everything walkable in 5 mins.
Great little house in a central location
That there was no washing machine.
Very pleasant stay. The sea view is lovely and the house is very comfortable - a great place to relax. The property is also near the village shops, cafes, restaurants etc. The beds are comfortable and the whole place was very clean. Easy parking at the back. Would recommend.
Design looks good on website but not what you get.
Be warned that the great images of the interior design do not reflect the reality. Please note the company requires a highly unusual and off-putting deposit of the purchase of damage insurance in advance of staying. We took this unusual approach to at least mean the quality would be exceptional.
We arrived to find stained carpets, a broken stairgate, electric light fittings not properly secured on children bunk beds, damaged and chipped finishes and dirt/mould in shower and a smell of damp.
We decided not to stay. Host and stay were quick to agree it was not acceptable. They responded:
“We understand that this is not the kind of experience we want our guests to have during their stay with us. Our main objective is to ensure that each and every guest has a wonderful experience, and it seems that we fell short in your case…If there is anything I can do to make up for the inconvenience, please don't hesitate to let me know.”
We asked for a refund and were asked to compete a complaint form. We were advised this would take 7-10 working days to investigate.
11 working days have passed and we’ve had no reply so we are now posting out review so you have full transparency if booking through Host and Stay.
The reality was the property appears to have been updated to a modern design on the surface but looks to have been done cheaply and has worn badly over the short time since it was done. Photographs do not reflect the current condition. It is very strange that they must have charged the damage deposit to previous guests and then not reinvested this money to make repairs.
This company, Host and Stay, manages a number of properties and has a related interior design business. Their design is excellent but their unusual approach of requiring deposit against damage raises expectations of quality that they have been unable to meet and their after sales process has not addressed the issues in the timescales their own terms and conditions set out.
Fantastic accommodation at Saltburn, the gem of the East coast
Location with great sea views
Lack of basics
Location was amazing - perfect sea views
Beautiful home, incredible views, very comfortable beds and really beautifully designed, will absolutely stay again!
Great place and surrounding area, we said goodbye to 2022 and hello to 2023. Even had a surprise fireworks display on the beach right in front of us
Great location, very clean and tidy.Would highly recommend.
No breakfast included
Fabulous house, well appointed, great views. Very stylish and comfortable, felt very relaxed there straight away (don’t really want to say how good it was or everyone will want to go! )
Fabulous house, very stylish and exceptionally clean. Everything you need is included. Lovely views from the house. We would stay here over and over again.
Wonderful property. Highly recommend ( though I would rather keep it a secret) ?
everything. loads of space, clean, comfortable and the sea views were lovely
nothing to dislike
The place was lovely and it was a real pleasure to stay there. The location is fantastic and the twin great.
Only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars is the checkout time of 10am where I would say that 11am is the norm.
Great communication from the host and the online guide about the property is useful. The house was clean, well equipped, and in an excellent location. We loved the outside seating area and the seaview, it was a shame when it was time to leave!
Great location, beautiful house, straightforward check in. Modern furnishings, comfortable and clean. Of note, the property does not have a washing machine although this is on the listing so something to be aware of. Wifi internet connection is also poor.
Excellent location Host and stay very efficient
Could have been improved with a washer dryer especially as we had children with lots of beachhead gear Outside bins were full on arrival and not emptied during our week long stay
Salty View is a lovely house in a great location! It has a fantastic sea view where you can sit at the front of the house watching the sunset. Decorated to a high standard and is immaculate throughout.
We absolutely loved the property and location was amazing ! check in and out was simple, directions and Lilli was easy to communicate with. The only thing was when we were messaging to request a later check out the responses seemed automated and just said we had to go through Airbnb (which I couldn't do unfortuntely). Otherwise everything was amazing and we'd love to come again! :-)
This is a really stylish property in a brilliant location. Cosy, quiet and with lovely finishing touches. It is was well equipped and perfect for a last minute family getaway
