Beautiful place to stay. Highly recommended!

Pleasant space in a very peaceful location. Excellent heating, hot water and WiFi and we even managed to work out the Smart TV to access our NOW and Prime accounts (I’m so rubbish at that usually!). A few issues with the dishwasher and wrong size duvet were acted in promptly by Housekeeping team. It is a perfect base for Bempton Cliffs (yes we saw Puffins) and the North Yorkshire Moors.

Lovely cottage, clean with good layout and comfortable bed. Could do with more crockery and utensils but that was a minor issue.

However, if you are taking a dog, as we did, be aware the outside area is not secure. It is shared with the other cottages so if you are there at the same time as other dog owners they may all be in the same space. More relevant is it is not a secure area with a busy road open to them should they choose to wander.

Biggest issue is the link from the company managing the cottage to a company called SUPERHOG. Once you book you are advised to take up the option of the damage insurance they offer. At no point do they tell you this is a voluntary option and from a conversation I had with AirBNB is not needed and completely superfluous but SUPERHOG ask for a photo to be uploaded of your passport or driving licence should you choose to take up the option.
I rung the company managing the property to raise my concerns only to be advised I did not need to take up that offer. That being the case begs the question why that isn’t made really really clear when you are asked to provide very sensitive data?

Having refused that “opportunity” I still received another 5 emails in the space of a week suggesting I register.............annoying and disappointing.

So all in all a lovely cottage but if you want my advice there are lots of other lovely places within 5 miles with much better customer service

Nice place to stay with your dog, back door straight onto the lawn. About 15 minute drive to Fraisthorpe beach, the best dog beach. And the ship inn at Sewerby is dog friendly and 5 minutes drive.

We really enjoyed our stay and would definately return. The property was clean and had everything for a relaxing weekend. The only downside was we couldnt get the TV in the bedroom to work and we couldnt find the iron.

No problems

Great location for Flamborough Head and Bempton Cliffs, really well equipped, clean and a lovely place. Lots of parking.

We had to check in through a third party and send a picture of our passport and face. This made us really uncomfortable as the third party was so poorly reviewed on (Hidden by Airbnb) and you have to be careful about fraud these days. As our trip was so last minute we decided to risk it but we probably would have cancelled otherwise.

The £50 cleaning fee makes it a bit expensive for a weekend, especially as you are asked to wipe everything down and take out the bins before you leave.

An ok stay but maybe not worth the price for two nights.

Nice stay. Very quiet and spacious for two with a dog.

- lovely staff and check in was easy and simple.
- arrived at night so was abit hard to find but the garage next door was open late and were happy to help us out.
- quiet and out the way, the cottages are together but it was very private :-)
Would recommend and hope to stay again !! Thanks

This is a fantastic little cottage that has everything you would want delivered at a high standard. It's akin to staying in a hotel but in a little cottage. Will certainly be coming back.

Very nice cottage in a lovely location, just a 5 minute drive from the Lighthouse. Very pleasant walks to be had and reasonably close to the likes of Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby.

Good communication from the host allowed for easy and relaxing time to be enjoyed.

really enjoyed our stay here, great location and great facilities

Very clean and well presented cottage. Well equipped and spacious.

Easy to setup

Amenities are great, location is ideal for walkers or those who do not mind driving.
The downside is the caravan storage/junkyard adjacent... There was a big explosion the first morning of my stay and clouds of dark smoke engulfed the car park and entered the cottage. This meant that my car was covered in ash. I was so concerned that I rang the local fire brigade but was later told by the site manager that this was an infrequent controlled event!
It would have been nice to have been forewarned about this before I had booked.
I hope that communication between the cottage owners and this junkyard is established to prevent this happening in future!

I had a lovely few nights with my husband at this holiday cottage. It is beautifully decorated, with a modern and tasteful design that feels special including a wonderful four poster bed for that extra feel of luxury! It has everything you need including an oven and dishwasher. It’s also in a perfect location for exploring the local area - we walked round Flamborough head, which was stunning! I agree with other reviews that it’s not quite as private as the pictures make it look - it’s one of a number of holiday properties within the same block with shared (but sectioned off) outdoor space. It didn’t bother us but it’s worth being aware of if you were looking for something truly hidden away!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage . It was just as pictured and was a lovely design . We have two husky so was a big enough space . Good communication leading upto the stay. I can’t fault our stay .
Nice walks close by to flamborough cliffs . We did take our own food , there was a couple of pubs close by at walking distance however were closed or didn’t do food on a Monday so we got take out . There are pubs driving distance though that are dogs friendly !

Lovely stay. Would recommend and in a good location.

We enjoyed our stay, we were in ‘guillemot’. However on arrival, no toilet roll being available was nearly a mishap.
Being the hottest week of the year, it was really disappointing that there was no pole for us to reach the velux windows to open them. Sweltering!
The cleanliness of the place was generally good but the bathroom did not seem like it had been properly cleaned before our arrival and the shower was truly awful!! Difficult to turn the handles around (I don’t have mobility issues) and the shower ran at a dribble unless it was set to nuclear hot.
All the negatives were relatively small and we don’t usually bring them up but feel these need addressing by host. Overall a good stay in a great location.

The accommodation was great, we loved the location, cleanliness, style and communication. The only thing we wish we’d known is that it’s one of several barns, with a gravel path at the front that all other barns need to walk past. We have a noise reactive dog and we chose somewhere we thought was isolated on purpose to avoid her barking, so we didn’t quite manage that! It would have been great to explicitly know this up front, but if we didn’t have her, we’d definitely stay again.

A really lovely, clean and modern apartment. Really quiet and set within the rural countryside which was lovely. Could also easily walk into Flanborough village for essentials which was great too. No bath though, but that’s just preference! Otherwise a wonderful stay.

Excellent property, clean well equipped as stated. Would definitely stay here again.

We had such a lovely stay, we did a 4hr 30 minute walk around flamborough coast and the cottage was an ideal place to stay. The cottage had everything we needed and there was a coop about a 5 minute drive from the cottage.

The location was perfect, on a quiet road. Near to great walks and the sea. The property was nicely decorated and had a very comfy bed We went early May, so the weather was very changeable. It was quite cold, wet and windy some days. The heating in the cottage was not adequate at times, we were cold, I think it was on a timer so unable to turn heating on when we needed it. Also water pressure was low, the power shower was very sluggish, not funny when you have long hair to wash. The toilet flush was inadequate, we had to sort this out manually which was not very nice. Due to the high winds at times, one of the windows has a howling sound. There was no instructions for the use of the oven, which could have been cleaned better. Asked not to drive on the pebble drive and to leave your car at the end of the building which we did, but others ignored this and parked outside their property and drove up and down. I would only recommend this property in the warmer months.I reported all this via email as advised if any problems whilst still there, but I am still waiting for response weeks later.

Great place for us to walk the dog and have a few days away. Lovely walks around the area and close to the beaches

Good location, with pubs in walking distance and a quick drive to beaches and Flamborough Head. The house was clean, and well stocked for a short stay. It wasn't quite as private for me as I thought it would be from the pictures. the bedroom is very nice, and thr bed very comfy.
