Perfect central location for our family trip to the open air theatre. Plenty of stairs in the property so make sure you are fit and able.

Very good

the location is good …central for everything

Proximity to town centre, including car parking
Rather cold, and heating reset every morning, not enough plates, bowls or cutlery, only three dishwasher tablets provided, several glasses and plates were dirty and needed cleaning before use. Shower couldn’t cope for the number of people, note at end of stay was incredibly preemptory, asking for total clean with nothing provided to do it especially as the cleaning charge was £125. Further, no general waste bin, so had to use communal bin in alley, despite saying to empty the bin before leaving.

The house over all was better than we thought it would be wanted for nothing. The free parking was a bonus for us too.Great location in Scarborough .
the only thing we had a slight issue with was the mattresses

The house is clean and large, comfortable and perfect for a large family or a group of friends. Very good location close to the sea and the city center.

location and comfort
nothing to dislike

Very good

Parking pass was excellent

Spacious rooms in great location

The house was very spacious.
The house smelt fusty downstairs.
Carpet to basement was not fixed properly.

Really good location in the centre of town. Walking distance to local amenities and both bays. Good downstairs space comprising of kitchen, dining room and nice courtyard garden with downstairs toilet.2 parking permits were provided for the ncp car park opposite the property for the duration of our stay.
We were only given 1 key for 2 households. (Older people staying so we didn't feel using the keybox was an option, so this made it awkward in terms of arranging access if people were doing different things). The property's decor is a bit tired in parts and some basic things like a non-slip bath mat were not provided. Some of the heavy furniture should also be anchored to the walls for safety. Lounge furniture slightly too small to accommodate all guests at once.

This property is in a great location for the beach and town centre. The owners have thought of everything including stair gates, travel cots etc. Extensive amounts of books and games.
The bed on the first floor is the most comfortable one. The others would benefit from a mattress of the same quality.
The sheets are crisp and white and the towels are white and soft.
The decor overall is looking tired and could do with upgrading in my opinion.
Cleanliness of this property is ok but didn’t have the fresh clean smell/look, I was hoping for.
The check-in/ out is trouble free and the key system works well.
Good communication and fast replies from STAY to sort out any issues.

Location was really handy.
Great set up for a big group of people.
Rooms comfortable and nicely decorated.
Convenient parking.
Facilities were good - Everything there that we needed...washing machine, dishwasher, iron etc.
Overall, it was very good.

Fantastic v central location with good communication amd easy check in. Easy to get to beaches and right by shops and NCP. Comes with two NCP parking passes too. Place is on 4 levels so not suitable for limited mobility. Cons - We did need to clean some cupboards and rotten milk on counter and bedding is ill fitting esp in single beds. Also outdoor space v small. Otherwise location here is key and we had a great time.

Great location from train station, town, the beach, with parking opposite. Rooms clean and well laid out. Little garden at the back with small pond was lovely. Great selection of books and games, as well as TV channels.
House is spread over a number of floors, with kitchen and dinning room in the ground/basement floor, including the WC, with bathroom on the top floor, so if you don't like stairs, this place isn't for you.

Check the property thoroughly when you arrive as we had a non working bath/shower right from arival which meant we couldnt bathe ourselves (9 of us) nor our 11 month old after a hot sandy day at the beach.

Customer service was terrible and completely put a downer on our first family holiday. They were not sympathetic and got argumentative the second we asked for compensation- bare in mind there was 9 of us in the property who were unable to shower.

Along with this, we also argued that the bathroom hadn't been cleaned as there was no working water and this wasnt picked up on.

You may get lucky with your stay if you don't come across any issues within the house and have to deal with the customer service team

Excellent central location, so close to the shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach. The house had everything we could need including toys and books for little ones. There was even a proper Dolce Gusto coffee machine for the caffeine addicted among us. The outside garden area with the fish and the lights was great for all the family to enjoy.
The stairs to the basement kitchen/ dining room are narrow and some steps feel a bit rickety. I didn't like my three year old walking down them on her own (or myself after a few glasses of wine). It wasn't a deal breaker though. It would also have been helpful to have a second set of keys for family members who wanted to go off on their own at times.

Very central, as it says. We weren’t able to use NCP car park as we had a top box on car but found on street parking very close.
Lovely wee garden area outside kitchen door. Quiet and secluded. A private sun trap.

Great, spacious house a few minutes walk from the beach. House is very well equipped, everything you could possibly need!

Fantastic location. Bedrooms really comfortable. They had thought of everything!
Lounge a little on the small side for 9 of us in the evenings.

Highly recommend this house. It is spacious, well presented, and really good facilities and equipment all round. Good range of cooking equiipment is provided in the kitchen. It is great for kids - they have baby gate and lots of books, and even a small (raised and safe) pond with 'fishies' in the garden which was extremely popular. It includes a free pass for the NCP carpark which right next to the house.

Central retreat is in an ideal position to get anywhere in Scarborough. Very well furnished and all the facilities we needed.
The cleanliness was not upto standard. On our arrival it was clear that the fridge had not been cleaned at all. We expect better during the Covid 19 Pandemic.
