the property was well located, right at the centre of the willage. parking cards were available.
the property wasn’t cleaned at all. there were marks on the toilet, and the floor wasn’t clean.

This was booked for a trip for my grandparents.
They had such a lovely stay, the property is in a central location with all amenities.
A couple of things were not as “polished” as the photos but easily solved with a quick refresh.

Great little cottage in ideal central location... sadly our stay was spoilt having been given the wrong parking scratch card by the host, whilst admitting it was their error they refused to cover the cost of the parking ticket.. Please read the small print on the parking scratch card to make sure it covers your length of stay..

We had a really enjoyable stay at Jet Cottage. The location is fantastic - just a couple of minutes walk from the sights of the harbour while tucked away in a quiet courtyard. The welcome information was excellent and had some very useful recommendations for local cafes. Thank you!

Think they need to replace the bed in the 1st bedroom .it had been repaired but it was very rickety.

This cottage was so lovely, in a great location and immaculate! We loved all the extra touches such as a coffee machine with pods and milk in the fridge for when we arrived.
The team were always on hand if we needed anything.

Centrally located in Whitby. Lovely quirky little 3 storey cottage. Tastefully furnished, clean, cosy & comfortable. Wonderful sea view from the top floor bedroom. Very quiet area, which was lovely.
There was no storage in the kitchen area. We only stayed for 3 nights, we ate out each night, so only brought fruit, breakfast items & alcohol. However, if you were staying & not eating out each day, you would struggle to store any food. The fridge had no freezer compartment for ice/frozen food storage. Access to the 2nd floor bedroom was via a very steep narrow staircase. My parents, both in their late 70’s would have struggled with this. In fact, my husband & i (mid 40’s) had to be careful when going to the bathroom during the night, as this was on the first floor. I don’t remember there being any mention of the staircase within the description of the property.

From booking with my usual site ie booking.com this went down hill. I was repeated asked to supply ID which I didn't want to do. However I did get numerous messages about directions and how to access the cottage etc which were clear and concise. Parking was difficult as the town has a lot of one way roads and parking is on roads only marked with W for us. A couple of times round town and we found a spot for two days but quite a walk to the cottage. On finding the cottage we were greeted with a dirty access entry but stepping inside the cottage we thought it was quaint and appeared clean. It was not. Lounge area had a number of cob webs. The seating looked grubby and was not clean as crumbs etc were tucked into creases. Upstairs the bathroom was uncomfortably small with issues of maintenance incuding the toilot roll holder whicn had already fallen off the wall and the corner of floor were black as was parts of the shower cubicle.the stairs to top floor were far too small and steep although this room was ,larger than 1st floor bedroom. The windows couldn't be opened. 1st floor bedroom had major issue with the bed which had seen a lot of repairs and was the worst bed I have slept in. The furniture was mucky mouse and we didn't use them as bedside cabinets were also grubby inside.wardrobe was unstable. Blinds need maintenance. The location of this cottage was lovely so easy to get into town and the harbour and beach but for me it has a lot of maintenance issues which reading some older reviews have been reported previously but not attended to. Shame because it could be a cosy retreat even in winter

Lovely cottage, we were a party of 4 adults and 2 little dogs and it was perfect! The location is excellent, comfortable beds, nice bathroom and kitchen - cosy lounge area. We will 100% be staying here again

Absolutely loved our stay here! It's a beautiful little cottage, perfectly placed to explore the centre of Whitby.
It's tucked away down a little alley and it makes it feel like you have a secret hideaway!

The cottage is immaculate, and very comfortable. The central location is great.
The only issue was the difficulty finding a parking space in the designated area. I'm not sure how that could be resolved, but we seemed to spend a lot of time driving around in circles trying to find a space. On our final day, this proved impossible and we had to park at the leisure centre, which was quite a long way away.

The property was lovely, very clean and in a great location to explore Whitby. The owner provided a parking coupon as part of the price for street parking which was very much appreciated, where if available you can park your vehicle in a W zone of disc parking, which are located within 5 minutes walk of the property. We would definitely stay at this property again.
Parking was difficult and we couldn't locate the blue bin for glass and plastics.

This place is ideally located and has over gone a lovely refurbishment since my last stay, comfortable and very well equipped.
Really bad smell about the place, we bought Reed diffusers to try and mask it, worked out towards the end of our stay it was the drains so bleach was probably the answer! Also no mirrors in the bedrooms.

Beautiful cottage, easy access to the town centre.
Only got given one parking permit so that was a bit stressful on the first day trying to find somewhere to leave another vehicle.
Also some building work is taking place near the cottage so wheelbarrows of bricks/mud were being wheeled by the property leaving the entrance very dirty.

Jet cottage was clean and inviting in a central location down a pretty side entrance. It was tastefully decorated throughout and provided a comfortable base.
The cooking facilities provided were good with a clean, roomy fridge. The beds were comfortable and there was central heating when required.
We were able to contact the owner/ managers at any time and they always responded to our questions promptly.
We would stay at Jet cottage again.

In the town centre
The cottage was tidy inside but that was after you passed by the smelling bins. We did contact the management but nothing was done. The bins may still remain full!!
There was no sanitiser on entry but the rooms were clean and tidy. Top staircase I feel is not safe but I they have informed.
I feel that the cottage is for short stay so did not suit us.

We liked the location the cottage was very clean and comfortable we also found it to be nice and quiet contact from the hosts very good

This cottage was cosy and well decorated, absolutely loved the look. Brilliant location within walking distance to everything really.
A couple of things I didn’t like would be on first glance I noticed ALOT of cobwebs and dust gathered along all the ceilings and corners really which was disappointing considering such a lovely space to stay in at 160 per night you would expect it to be checked :( . Also the noise from the neighbours of which in our “rules” we were told to accommodate our curfew was a little loud which can’t be helped by the owner but just a comment. Overall we had a lovely stay though...

The location is very good. Right in the heart of Whitby! it is a cute little worker's cottage down a very tiny alleyway.
it was small, but very clean.

You have to walk quite a way to get the on street parking which comes free with vouchers at the property, so if you've got mobility problems it might be a hassle. Also, the top bedroom has extremely steep stairs, so definitely not ideal for children or those with mobility problems. The top floor windows didn't open either.

The cottage is in a perfect spot, near to everything but lovely and quiet at night. Decor is really nice and in keeping with the location and everything is clean and in good order.

Location was excellent and very quiet, the house was very clean with everything you could need. Beds were very comfortable. We would have no hesitation in staying there again or recommending it to others.
The only thing we found was that after we had paid for the stay, we found it cheaper on Air bnb. I am not sure how this is the case other than booking.com inflating the price. I would book through Air bnb next time.

Jet cottage is a really nice place to stay for a couple/2 couples or a few friends. Personally I wouldn’t go back with my family just due to the size of the property. It’s small, unfortunately my experience wasn’t the best when it came to parking with a little family, there are loading bays and an area you can park to take all your luggage in but then expect to park about 5-10 mins from the property and walk back). As far as comfort goes, the top bedroom expect a steep climb up and down the steps.
I expected a nicer bed to sleep in to be honest for the price we paid.
It was extremely clean and close to everything we wanted to do. I think there’s definitely improvements to be made but it was a really nice place as far as how clean and modern it is.

Great short stay

Although hard to initially find as its tucked down a side street and there is only a small gate in between 2 shops to access it, once we got in it was a lovely quaint little cottage that made you feel hundreds of miles away from the hustle and bustle of Whitby. The online pictures are ever so slightly stretched making it appear a bit bigger than it is, but this isn't really a problem.

The property was clean and had everything we needed for our stay including tea and coffee and even a small bottle of milk on arrival.

We absolutely love Jet Cottage, cannot recommend enough! Fantastic location, but also nice and quiet. Bedrooms both so lovely and beds really comfy, always a bonus!!

We really enjoyed our stay at Jet Cottage. It was in a great location and really easy to walk onto West Cliff and the town Centre. The parking is about 5 minutes away from the house walking so I’d suggest getting a loading bay when you arrive by the charity shop to easily unpack everything

Parking is a bit of a problem but the local pay & display car park is very reasonable so all good. Beautiful cottage, super clean, cozy and sweet. Many thanks

A wonderful place to stay in Whitby! This gorgeous cottage is tucked away down a little street so although it is right in the centre of town, you get very little noise. The cottage was decorated stylishly, and although it was petite, there is still room for our 6ft guest to stand! The top room offers a glimpse of the sea. The house was well stocked. The hosts were quick to respond to all of our queries and they had put careful thought in how to safely manage the virus. I would highly recommend.

A great little cottage, exactly as in the photos, recently decorated & lovely & clean. Perfectly located with only a couple of minutes walk to the harbour & free on street parking 10 minutes away.
The hosts communicate with you regularly & promptly to ensure you have all you need.
We would stay there again if we revisit Whitby.

We could not have asked for a nicer place to stay. The place was so clean. I can honestly say that it was probably the nicest place we’ve stayed in a long time. So much attention to detail with everything!
The only thing I would suggest is the stairs in the loft room maybe need another rail or banister on the opposite side for something else to hold on to. It wasn’t a problem for us but could be a bit of a future hazard.
